Questions about the instant quote

Is the instant price final?

It’s the price we’ll charge, unless our file check finds something that needs fixing (for example walls that are too thin). In that case we contact you before printing. Nothing is printed without your confirmation.

How do I get a full colour print?

Upload a file that carries colour: OBJ with its MTL and texture images, FBX with its textures, VRML (.wrl), GLB or 3MF. Send the model and its textures together, as loose files or in one ZIP; the tool reads the ZIP, shows the colours and tells you if a texture is missing. STL and STEP contain only shape; we can add colour for you as a separate service.

What does the printability check look at?

While you configure, the tool checks your model in the browser: whether the mesh is closed, whether there are enclosed hollows, and how thick the walls are compared with the minimum of the chosen material (based on the resin and printer manufacturers’ design guides). “Show wall thickness” colours thin areas red and orange. Enclosed hollows need drain holes in SLA resin, at least two of 3,5 mm each, or resin stays trapped inside.

Can I fix thin walls myself?

Yes. “Thicken thin walls” moves the surface outward where the model is too thin, up to the recommended thickness of the material. You see the result and the new price immediately, and can undo it. The edited model is sent with your request. Prefer us to do it? Tick repair, thicken, hollow or drain holes and we take care of it in the file check.

My part is bigger than 25 cm. Can you print it?

Yes, up to metres high, printed in sections and assembled. Keep it in your request: it will be marked “on request” and we send a tailored quote within one working day.

How do I pay?

For now, you receive an order confirmation with payment details by email. Companies can pay by invoice after approval. Online payment is coming soon.

Are my files safe?

Your files are stored privately, used only for your order and never shared. We sign an NDA on request.

Which units does the tool assume?

Millimetres for STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP and VRML, centimetres for FBX and metres for GLB. If a part looks too big or too small, change the units or the scale in the tool.
